Commissioned Works
Artistic Partnership to create tailored, high-quality music for you next concert.
What to Expect
-
All of my clients sign a commission agreement or contract defining essential information to have your music finished on time. These document includes deadlines, expectations, payment schedules, instrumentation, length of work, etc.
-
While each commission is unique, I usually expect 50% when signing the agreement and the other 50% upon delivery of the score/parts.
-
While factors of ensemble type and skill level may affect the required time of creative work, a minimum of 3 months is typically advised for completion of the commission. You, the client, will receive bi-weekly updates regarding the commissioned work(s).
-
Your finished music comes professionally engraved to the highest standard. Score and/or parts will be delivered via emailed PDF files. Printed scores are also available for additional fees and shipping costs.
-
Are you unsure about the feasibility to commission a new, custom musical work? If so, there are alternatives:
I always have new works and arrangements that are ready for an ensemble or soloist to premiere! Contact me about these options to enjoy reduced pricing and a condensed timeline.
Co-commission a work by joining with another ensemble, school, or organization. More musicians enjoy premiering a new work and the cost is split!
